Privacy Policy
Magic Spaces collects information you choose to provide through the app, website, and related services.
Data We Collect
- Account data: name, email address, and account identifiers from sign-in providers.
- Website signup data: email address submitted for product updates and basic request metadata needed to protect the signup form from abuse.
- App content: information you enter, capture, save, or ask Magic Spaces to process, including labels, notes, catalog entries, transcripts, and photos.
- Media processing data: optimized app photos. Source videos are temporary local processing files and are not uploaded while source-video cloud storage is disabled.
- Usage data: onboarding progress, app interactions, capture/correction timing, sync status, and related diagnostics needed to operate the beta.
How We Use Data
Magic Spaces uses collected data for app functionality, household sync, private catalog browsing/search, beta feedback, storage management, product analytics, and requested website updates. Magic Spaces does not sell personal information and does not track users across other companies' apps or websites.
Website Updates
If you submit your email address on magicspaces.com, Magic Spaces uses it to send requested launch, beta, or product availability updates. You can ask to be removed from the update list by contacting accounts@magicspaces.com.
AI
Magic Spaces uses AI only to provide app features, such as label cleanup and responses based on your saved app content. These AI requests do not include image bytes or video bytes.
During the friends-and-family TestFlight beta, Magic Spaces does not use tester data for AI training or model-improvement datasets. Third-party AI provider API data is not used to train provider models by default unless the API account owner explicitly opts in, and Magic Spaces is not opting in for this beta.
Storage
Photos and other app content may be stored locally for offline use and may sync to private cloud storage when cloud sync is enabled. Local media is excluded from iCloud backup where iOS allows. Temporary source videos can be cleared from Settings after capture processing settles.
After an account deletion request is submitted, Magic Spaces clears local records and app-storage media copies that are already backed by cloud sync for the requesting account's non-shared households on that device. Unsynced local-only records and household data still needed by another local account are not treated as deletion-request cache for that account.
Account Deletion
You can request account deletion from Settings. Submitting a request does not immediately delete your account, sign you out, or remove catalog data. Requests are recorded in the app backend for review before irreversible cleanup, which helps prevent accidental or unauthorized account deletion.
While a deletion request is pending or processing, Magic Spaces may block normal signed-in app access, clear the requesting account's non-shared cloud-backed local copies from the device, and show only the deletion-request status screen. If the request was submitted in error, contact accounts@magicspaces.com.
After the request is reviewed and approved, deletion removes your synced account data, synced data from households where you are the only owner, catalog photos for those deleted households, your analytics, and household access. Shared household catalog data may remain for other owners. Limited records may also be retained where required by law or operational security.
